About Aura Wellness Center

Aura Wellness Center was founded in 1999, when the former Ocean State Fitness closed. Paul Jerard, Marie Jerard, and Paul Jerard III, decided to open a wellness center, which focused on health classes, and personal training sessions, with a holistic perspective.

In October 2006, Aura Wellness center moved from North Providence, Rhode Island to downtown Attleboro, Massachusetts.

About the Yoga Teachers

Paul Jerard, E-RYT 500, has been studying Yoga since 1963. He has been a certified Yoga teacher since 1987 and has been training Yoga students and Yoga teachers ever since. Paul became a Master Yoga teacher in 1995 after teaching Yoga for 5,000 hours.

Paul is a member of Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists. He is a published author of courses, articles, and e-books concerning Yoga.

He is an authorized and internationally recognized trainer of Yoga teachers and a Yoga teacher coaching consultant. He works with Yoga teachers and holistic health practitioners worldwide in developing their practices to their best potential.

Paul has trained Yoga teacher graduates in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. He is also an author of nine books and hundreds of articles about Yoga; his articles are published by many Yoga, self-help, martial arts, and wellness newsletters.

He is the Director of Yoga Teacher Training at Aura Wellness Center in Attleboro, MA. Below are some of his other accomplishments:

• He has Multiple Black Belts and teaching certifications in Martial Arts.
• He has been a coach, referee, and a competitor in Martial Arts.
• Certified Pilates Instructor
• Holistic Life Coach
• Certified Personal Trainer
• He coaches Yoga teachers worldwide.
• In 2004, he was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Marie Jerard, CYT 500, has been practicing Yoga since 1997 and teaching Yoga to the public since 2000. Since 1999, Marie has attended nine 200-hr Yoga teacher training courses, many more Yoga teacher intensives, and Yoga teacher workshops.

Marie teaches Restorative Yoga for students who want to hold postures, but is familiar with Kundalini Yoga training, as well. She is also a certified Pilates instructor and teaches Pilates at Aura.

Marie also teaches body sculpting by combining Yoga, with the Pilates method, for a more gentle approach to movement for total health.
